SKIPA Leads St. Kitts and Nevis Delegation at World Trade Centre Georgetown International Trade and Investment Conference

Basseterre, St. Kitts, 22 October 2026 – The St. Kitts Investment Promotion Agency (SKIPA) is leading a delegation from St. Kitts and Nevis at the World Trade Centre Georgetown International Trade and Investment Conference, being held in Georgetown, Guyana, from 19–23 October 2026. The Federation’s participation brings together government and private-sector stakeholders and provides a platform to promote St. Kitts and Nevis as a destination for trade, investment and business opportunities.

A key feature of St. Kitts and Nevis’ participation is a dedicated country-focused session entitled “Doing Business with St. Kitts and Nevis.” The session provides an opportunity to showcase the Federation’s economic priorities and highlight opportunities available to international investors and businesses seeking to establish or expand operations in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The Conference brings together government officials, business leaders, investors, Chambers of Commerce, trade promotion agencies and representatives of World Trade Centers from across the Caribbean, the Americas and further afield. Discussions encompass areas including trade and investment, market access and rules of origin, tourism, aviation and connectivity, agriculture and agribusiness, financial services, technology and international trade policy.

The programme also includes consideration of the Partial Scope Trade Agreement involving Guyana, Brazil and St. Kitts and Nevis, with emphasis on improving understanding of the Agreement and exploring practical ways for businesses to capitalize on the trade and investment opportunities it provides.

Participation in the Conference complements SKIPA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the international visibility of St. Kitts and Nevis, build relationships with prospective investors and business partners, and position the Federation’s investment opportunities before targeted international audiences.

The engagement in Georgetown also provides an important opportunity to deepen commercial ties between St. Kitts and Nevis and Guyana, following recent engagements involving representatives of Demerara Distillers Limited, the BK Group of Companies and World Trade Centre Georgetown.

Through its participation, SKIPA will continue to advance the Federation’s investment promotion agenda and showcase St. Kitts and Nevis as a competitive location for business and investment.
