The Rt. Honourable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Minister of Economic Development and Investment et al shared St. Kitts and Nevis “Sustainable Island State vision at the 28th Edition of the World Investment Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the Ministerial Roundtable on Day 1 of conference, which is being held at the Fairmont Hotel in Riyadh. Senior Minister Dr. Douglas highlighted the government’s vision for transitioning to green energy, particularly solar and geothermal energy as the critical infrastructure that will underpin the Sustainable Island State economy and drive growth and development across key sectors such as tourism, ICT, Agriculture, the creative economy and manufacturing.

The high level ministerial roundtable brought together Ministers from diverse economies to discuss and strategize on aligning industrial policies with forward looking investment promotion strategies in an era marked by profound global transformations.
The 28th WIC2024 is hosted by the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA). The event is held annually where Investment Promotion Agencies (IPA’s) gather to discuss policies and trends, offering a platform for networking and knowledge sharing and thereby fostering collaboration and partnership building among global investment leaders.
